A bit unexpected.
It’s not often that you see many crossover SUVs do anything other than driving people around on pavement these days. In fact, many automakers don’t even bother making them off-road worthy because they’re not used in that way. This Mazda CX-5 though, enjoyed running around in the sand with its new KMC 708 Bully wheels.
The Mazda CX-5 is a crossover SUV for those that are looking to have fun and get a more engaging drive. The Japanese automaker has always been able to inject a more athletic and direct feel to their cars despite the occasional lack of power. Here, this CX-5 benefits from the Mazda SKYACTIV 2.5-liter inline-four with 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft. of torque reaching all four of the KMC 708 Bully wheels.
Handling is also something that Mazda prides themselves on and the four-wheel independent suspension with front MacPherson strut with stabilizer bar setup and rear multilink with stabilizer bar design serving up some excitement. It’s also able to handle its own off-road as well as seen here in the sand.
This Mazda CX-5 is packing a new set of KMC 708 Bully wheels. These cast aluminum alloys have a three-dimensional mesh spoke design that mimics that of a directional style to emphasize speed. Here, the KMC 708 Bully wheels wear a Satin Black finish that contrasts the dazzling White paint on the exterior of the CX-5. At the front and rear, the KMC wheels measure 17 x 8.0 and wear 245/65/17 Nitto Terra Grappler G2 tires that are made for chewing through all sorts of terrain.
In a world where SUVs and CUVs are relegated to driving on the roadways, this Mazda CX-5 with KMC 708 Bully wheels is a welcome sight.
