We hand picked over 100 tire models that we have had ZERO quality control issues with and used those as a base. As a side note, all the tire options on our site meet or exceed our strict on-boarding guidelines. Furthermore, we have a very strict policy for quality control issues where tires that accumulate a certain amount of issues within one calendar year are removed from inventory and our offerings online.
We later observed consumer feedback these tires where getting via Google Reviews and other sources. We carefully read thru exactly 731 reviews and payed close attention to what consumers had to say, for the most part paying attention to any less than 5 star reviews. After all we knew they were good options our task was to weed out the bad. But the reviews had to have substance to take them serious and for that reason our resident tire guru along with our quality control manager had the fun task of going thru them and passing along final notes for the each of our options.
Once we had our options narrowed down to about 20 we looked into what warranty was being offered by the brand and in addition to standard warranty did any additional coverage such as Road Hazard exist. Let’s face it, there is very little profits to be made on cheap tires any offering in addition to standard warranties will be a Huge Bonus and decision factor for us as this could be of Great Benefit to our customers.
Technically speaking if a tire met the DOT standards (which they all do as a requirement for US import) it should be safe. A DOT approved tire demonstrated safe characteristics in addition to meeting the DOT strict requirements at testing. In some very rare instances some do make it thru the test and later turn out to be defective in which at that point the manufacturer issues a recall. A recall in the tire industry is rare however it is important to note that recalls are not exclusive to cheap tires, recalls have occurred to even the most recognized prestige brads (which we rather not name).
The N’Priz AH5 has four wide longitudinal grooves that improve drainage performance; a rigid shoulder block design to enhance cornering, handling and a quiet comfortable ride; and a dual kerf design to enhance block stiffness and mileage.
The Ironman iMove Gen2 AS is manufactured using a next generation wear-resistant compound and featuring an advanced pressure distribution concept, the M+S rated iMove Gen2 AS provides even wear, longer tread life and all-season reliability.
The Ridge Grappler represents the next generation of the Nitto Grappler family of products which provides the best of both worlds from our mud-terrain and all-terrain product offerings. Featuring a revolutionary dynamic hybrid tread pattern, the Ridge Grappler provides a quiet and comfortable ride while the deep, aggressive sidewall lugs and tread pattern provide capable off-road performance.
The All Country A/T delivers on multiple fronts, so the vehicle it’s carrying can conquer them all. The All Country A/T’s tread features wide angled lateral grooves and a void ratio designed to enhance mud, water and snow evacuation, for all-surface traction when and where it’s needed most.
It is very scarce for a mud terrain tire to offer any time of warranty outside of manufacturer defects. For Ironman to offer a 60 month limited protection is very impressive. Don’t get distracted by the 4.3 review, it’s common for Mud Terrain tires to not score high in reivews due to the noise they produce and consumer lack of knowledge of what realistic expectations they should expect from a Mud Terrain.
WheelsASAP has a very strict on-boarding procedure in order for brands to become part of our offerings. Our brand partners must meet or exceed certain requirements from a quality standard to a minimum warranty coverage. If a prospect brand meets those requirements our resident tire gurus later research the brands and models they represent and look carefully for online consumer reviews to see if there is any reoccurring events / red flags. If all checks out we’ll place a small quantity trial order to test the waters.
WheelsASAP only buys tires locally and here’s why:
We have a very tightly monitored defect report which we evaluate every quarter. If there is a particular product (including tires) that we see consistently on that report we Immediately remove that product from our website and return any inventory we may have. This is one of the biggest benefits of buying locally we have the ability to easily return product. If we purchase tires overseas or out of state it makes it very difficult to ship a large load of tires back to a supplier. Think about this when you see those off-brand offerings from our competitors, do you think if they start to experience issues with a certain tire they’re bringing in from overseas they’d consider shipping it back to the factory? NO! They’re going to dump them online.
At WheelsASAP you can always rest assure that we only partner with brands of the highest quality as our ultimate goal is to exceed your expectations!
We offer easy tire financing with 87% Approval Rates. We also offer special financing for those with developing credit.
TIRE FINANCING INFOThe offset of the wheel is a measurement taken from the centerline of the wheel to the mounting pad of the wheel. The higher the offset the closer the wheel is to your chassis. If you used our Search By Vehicle tool we will only show you offset ranges that are within range for your vehicle.
If you used our Search By Vehicle tool please read the below:
For Cars: The offset ranges offered will result in wheels that will never stick out of your fenders. If you prefer a Flush with the fender look a lower offset will help achieve that.
For Trucks: The offset ranges offered will result in either a flush or slight poke look. If you prefer for the wheels not to poke outside the fenders look for the highest offset available.
For Lifted Trucks: Considering lifted vehicles require larger tires we’re required to keep the wheels as far away from the chassis as possible to prevent rubbing. Depending on your lift and the size of the tire required, the offset ranges offered will result in either a flush look or in some cases will stick outside the fenders. The larger the lift and tire size required the more the wheels will sit outside the fenders. If you’re looking for the wheels to stick outside the fenders look for the lowest possible offset being offered as well as the widest wheel.
