It’s been quite a while since Chevrolet was blasting their popular ‘Like a Rock’ commercials and advertisements for their trucks and SUVs. We think that they should being that campaign back and revive it for the Silverado. This third-generation model was quite the pickup and this one is even more so thanks to a new set of MotoMetal MO978 Razor wheels.
There’s a lot to like about this third-gen Chevrolet Silverado despite the fact that it’s being replaced by a new fourth-gen model for the 2019 model year. Still, this pickup can get the job done and then some with style.
Under the hood of this boxy machine sits a 5.3-liter L86 GM EcoTec3 6200 6.2-liter V-8 engine. This naturally-aspirated motor can crank out a hefty dose of 420 horsepower at 5,600 RPM and 460 lb-ft. of torque at 4,100 RPM. This Chevrolet Silverado also comes packed with the Z71 off-road package, which includes a new suspension, new styling, and other goodies. As an added bonus, there’s tinted windows, new side steps, and more minor modifications that change the look of the truck.
